Shot a wedding this evening, and was suprised that the performer at the reception was Junior Brown. Was pretty cool to watch him play...very talented guy. Anyway, here are a two...first time to really shoot a high-profile artist, so that was very cool for me.

Thanks for looking!

Oh, and these are both shot with 5D and 70-200 2.8 IS. WB needs a little work, but shot RAW, so no worries. These were just quickly processed.

White balance doesn't look too far off.

Watch the highlights on the first tho.
Pity about the mic shadow on his face in the second.

Nicely done.

Performers and their comfort zones eh :D

But then, we hide behind our cameras some of the time too :D

Nice! WB looks nice and warm ... I wouldn't change it. There is no cure for someone who keeps the mike in their mouth ... but the second images suggests he didn't use it all the time.

You got it Rob...heck, that's one of the things I like about being a photographer.

Thanks Dwight...you're right and I have quite a few more. Have a few cool pics of the drummer in particular. Anyway, I certainly need to do better the next time this sort of thing presents itself.

This was the first time I've photographed someone like this...definitely have new found respect for those of you that do this type of photography. Thanks again!

Thanks James!

Here are two more.

The drummer was shot at 1/15 sec with the 70-200 (IS rocks!)
