Hey everyone, well to make it short, my friend had dropped my friends camera, it was a Canon SD 630 (Or 530, something along that line). The impact of the camera was basically towards the front lens piece, nothing internally sounds broken, it just doesn't close or open correctly. I was able to fully extend the lens, but as soon as the camera turns on it detects an error (E18 if I can recall correctly?). I know theres been much worse problems in the DSLR forums that Canon fixes for people, so I'm assuming this can be fixed? But rather then waiting would I be able to take it to a camera store to be fixed or should I just contact Canon directly?
