Hi all, I am trying to make sure I sharpen my photos correctly. When I view them at say 30% they look good. When I zoom to 100% they look start to look blurry. Is this what it will look like printed?

Actuall unless those are 100% crops a couple would help.

All I see in the link is allot of nice pictures. They don't seem like 100% crops to me so it is hard to tell. Do you shapen your photos as part of your normal workflow? If you shoot jpeg they are sharpened in camera, but could possibly benefit from additional sharpening.

I am not talking about the images on the link. I am talking about in my regular workflow. When I view the images at 100% for sharpening they look blury.

100% size on screen is at least 3 or 4 times bigger than print size, so don't be too concerned.

Just get one printed - you'll soon know if you've got issues.

For sharpening in Photoshop I use Unsharp mask with these settings: 300, 0.3, 3. But don't take that as gospel - everyone has different opinions about USM settings!!

BTW, don't trust your view on screen at 30%, or any size other than 100%. Unless you're viewing pixel-for-pixel, your program is doing some clumsy on-the-fly interpolation to show the image, and the result is often "false sharpness".
