While reading a few posts at lunch I was struck at how profound and philosophical some of our POTNers are. So, I thought that if everyone who stumbles across some outstanding example of profoundness would post it to this thread we could start a compendium of pithy thoughts. Here are two to start with :D

Vkalia: “… If you cannot take good shots with the gear you had before, you are not going to be able to take good shots with the gear you are going to buy … ”

Canonphotog: “ … You can't have your cake, let alone eat it too if you keep sending the cake back.”

You do realise, of course, that the tone of this thread will only go down from here?

Pete,

Is this an observation or a contribution? :)

I somehow missed these pithy comments. Funny, even as I type "pithy" I can hear Bill O'Reilly on the T.V. in the other room. My husband is watching.

I can't wait to see what other profound statements I have missed throughout the forum.

Probably the most noteworthy comment made on POTN thus far:
