Good for you. If I was with my wife and I had all that gear attached to my waist, she'd freak and probably refuse to be around me!

I was with my girlfriend. I think I may have reconsidered if I had seen myself in a mirror but I loaded up in the car park so had no idea what I looked like. Mind you, the idea was to get some good photographs, not win a beauty pageant.

Having quickly caught sight of the second photo it looks a bit like I'm wearing a jet pack. I'm not sure now if the look is more "Rambo", "Cambo", or "Buzz Lightyear".

The thing is, my 100-400 won't fit in my current bag with all my other stuff.

Stefan

Did you actually get your camera, the first four lenses and the flash into a 200?

My 300 is full with the gear I have (camera + tubes + Extndr + four lenses - the longest of which is the 100 macro).

Of course, I reserve the topmost outer compartment for lunch and a drink.;)

EDIT: Find yourself a good shoe repair shop like mine - run by a good natured Cambodian. They will probably come up with an idea using straps or fasteners sewn onto the existing bag. I had a second shoulder strap added to my Slingshot for long hikes (pics available upon request).

I tossed the case for my 100-400 up into the attic years ago. I used to carry it on my belt until the stitching in the loop started to come apart... Within a year of purchasing the lens.

I bought a LowePro lenscase, "3" to hold my 70-200mm. It comes with a velcro belt fastner that you can loop onto a bag with any loop. When I use my Slingshot 100, I attach the LowePro case to my backpack.

Yes, and now I managed to get the 100-400 in. Plus filters, 3 hoods, and accesories. I will attach a picture.

I decided to start a new thread since the pictures completely go against the original point of this thread.

I use one of those oval clips that rock climbers use. Run it through the belt strap on the lens case and clip it to one of the metal rings on the camera bag. Works pretty well for me.

Bumping this thread.

Anyone use a Lowepro Lens Case to hold their 100-400L with hood reversed and the tripod mount ring attached and if so which case fits this lens? The Lowepro Lens Case 5? The 4 sounds like its too snug but the 5 sounds like it might be too large...

I carry mine that way and keep it in the bottom of the bag with no dividers. I have no dividers in the middle either. That way I can carry it mounted or not. I have a 300
