Grandma gives it a "shot"

I typically don't take surfing pics, I am more the baby, family portrait photographer, but have always been intrigued with the art of sports photography. It takes a different skill set in many ways, but I'm always trying to step outside my comfort zone. This is my first effort at shooting a surfer at the pier. I am a grandmother of two, so this is WAY out for me.

Ryan, you are from Huntington Beach too, do you recognize this kid? I always thought if I could find him, his parents might like a free photo of him.

Anyhoo, there 'tis. My first sport shot. I did a bit of post processing, but am new to digital photography (medium format studio girl from way back) and still not sure what I am doing. Using Photoshop Elements 4 on my Mac. C and C welcome.

Good shot for a first outing. There still seems to be a touch of a green-grey cast and could sharpened up a smidge... but for a first go of it, not bad at all. Would like to see the frames just before this to see of you get any more facial action in the shot too. Cheers.
