howdy, all! at this point, photography is a hobby i take seriously but which doesn't have to pay the bills. that doesn't mean, however, that i'm averse to earning a few bucks if i can. as it happens, i've been asked about shooting as a second for a local wedding team. they've asked me what my rates are and the truth is i'm clueless. what can you all tell me about appropriate fees?

The photographer I work for pays $200 a day. The 2nd shooter just hands off CF cards, and often times won't work the full day with the main shooter (skips out on the getting ready, etc.)

Another photog I know pays $100/day. (Her packages are about 1/3 of the cost of the other photographer, hence the lower price.)
