There's too many car photos and not enough trains or ships on this board. Thought I'd post some shots from my recent trip to the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo, California.

AGREED! Time permitting, I hope to put up a couple of "non-cars" later...

Meanwhile, looks like a nice collection of old iron down there...

I guess it's the dry air that keeps them in pretty good condition?

The locomotives sitting outdoors are in pretty poor shape and awaiting restoration. (The B&W treatment is deceptive). The 2353 locomotive was restored to operating condition by the museum and pulled the excursion train for five years. During an inspection in 2000 several cracks were found in the boiler firebox and lacking the funds to repair it, the locomotive was taken out of service and placed on display. The intention is to eventually repair or replace the boiler and return the locomotive to service. Like most museums, the PSRM is supported only by donations and the fees brought in by their excursion trains.
