NOINK ALERT! NOINK ALERT! :p

Just joking, welcome to the forum!

:)

Lighten up!!

Noinkers are welcome here. Some of our favorite members have moved to the dark side, and they still feel right at home. They don't have much to contribute to the gear forums, but they are welcome to share photos, chat, and talk about anything photography related.

Who knows? Someday we might actually have Nikons covered here, too. Stranger things have happened.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I loved my G9, however i sold it when i got word the G10 was being released, and only lost 75 bucks.....i used it for 3 months too while diving in Florida.

Next on the list is the underwater housing for it! I havn't even opened the box to the G10 or 40D yet

I just started taking pictures this past July 2008 (I'm 25) and my first SLR was my 30D, which I am still using.

Thank you.

What brings me here, well the same that brought all of you together, a serious addiction to photography. That and theres no comparable Nikon forum.

I have a G10 (for me) & 40D too that i bought for my younger sister since she was going to take photography in high school, but she decided not to take it. Brand new in box, i wish i could trade it for another D300.

LOL, agreed, Nikon Cafe is a good overall resource but POTN is so much more fun.

I am extremely jealous of the fact that you are getting a D700.

Why don't you just sell the 40D for a D90? They're about the same price, and as good as the 40D is the D90 would obviously work better for you. Is your sister eventually going to use it or something?

Nikon Cafe is good, but i kinda like it here ;) There seems to be more going on.

I was trying to get her into photography. I just found out i can still get a full refund, so im going that route.

As far as the D90, had one...didnt like the feel of it.

Im getting the D700 as soon as finances allow, or i might hold out longer and pick up a D3 by the end of the year. I'm not sure yet, im quite happy with my D300. I have plans of going to the Monaco Grand Prix in May, but thats still a little iffy. If i do end up going, im going to need a second body so i'll probably pick up a D700. If i end up not going, i'll hold out for a D3.

Haha....

This really is a great place though. I have learned A LOT from this forum from photography techniques all the way to design programs.

Stick around, you'll definitively learn something.

But be warned, this forum will make you spend lots and lots of money. I know, I have blown over 3k on equipment since I joined this forum.

A Canon T-70 was my first camera. I bought it in '85 when I was..... oh, age really doesn't matter, does it?
But I do miss that camera.

I was 18 when I bought my first SLR...a EOS Rebel II. That was many many years ago. I got my first DSLR back in Oct 08, a Rebel XSi, at 32 y/o. I am now getting a 50D!!!
