Your First SLR

40D at 27...2 months ago

35mm rebel when I was 15 or so, back in like 2000 if I remember correctly.

I was 22, and bought a used a Canon Rebel XT, now I'm 24 and just bought a canon 50D

Bought my 350D 9th August 2005 (I was 24). Upgraded to a 5D 2 weeks ago. the 350D has served me well (and still going strong)

23 - Canon Rebel XSi

AE-1 shortly after my son was born in '76. I've been a lousy photographer for a loooong time!

28, got my XTi, just under a year ago...

14. Fujica ST 701. First camera at 5 (Kodak 126 Instamatic).

Canon F1 with 50 1.4 ssc and 100-200 zoom and a 133 flash complete with flash ring. Bought these for $500 from an AF buddy going thru a divorce, ca 1977.

16 Years old - canon xt

17- good old Nikon D40

first slr was a Minolta 500si @ 25 years old.......my FIRST camera was a medium format Kodak from the 50's (i was like 9 and I DESTROYED it ).......

Konika AutoReflex T4 when I was 13 if I recall my age and camera correctly. I still have it somewhere.

Canon Rebel 2000 at 13. I'm 19 now.

It was crazy. I loaded this so called "camera" with a plastic filmy thing and that was enclosed in this funny cylinder thingy. Than I would put pictures on to the plastic. Than I had to take this so called "film" out of the camera and mix it in a dark containers with all these funny smelling chemicals. Than I'd take that "film" and go into a really dark room with a red light that smelled like vinegar. I'd put this "film" into what they called an "enlarger" and than put images directly onto magic paper that showed pictures once I put it in these weird chemicals.

So peculiar. I thought cameras were supposed to have LCD screens on them.

Around 2 years and 2 months since my XTi first arrived in the mail! Currently 22 years of age. Just bought a 50D!
