Vitruvius "oh god it burns!" 311 posts Joined May 2007 Location: Washington, DC More info | Jul 11, 2007 07:35 | #36 Not necessarily, although film is a great way to start, it certainly helps you apreciate the digital aspect of photography, I tend to think the more immediate results of digital happen to be better, you can take your pictures chimp for better results, see what works and doesn't work and you can do all this at the same time as your taking the photos. On the other side of the coin though film can be a great way to leanr as well, you tend to have to work with what you have available you cant change ISO on the fly and you tend to be more careful with the shots you take.
