I posted this thread in lenses, but realized that I might get better responses from the macro shooters who might have more experience relevant to my question, so I'll repost here:
Thanks for the assistance macromaniacs!!!
I've been researching extension tubes and there are many posts on them, but I could not find anything related to the differences in these two kenko types.
There is the teleplus extension tube set DG, which has the 12, 20, and 36mm for about $169.
There there are the 12 mm uniplus ($75) and a 25mm one ($90).
What can anyone tell me about the similarities or differences. I know the 12, 20, and 36 can be mounted together, so does that mean you can mount the 25mm to them as well?
I know the set of 3 do not work or attach to the EF-S lenses, so does that mean the 25 does not either?
Why choose buying the set over buying the 25mm or both? I plan to use them with my lenses, so which might work better?
Also, I noticed that the Canon extension tubes are compatible with the EF-S and TS-E lenses, so would anyone advising going with these instead?
Also could you use one of these connected to the body and then attach a Kenko set on top?
Eg. Body>Canon Extension Tube>Kenko Extension Tube> Lens or maybe instead Kenko EX tube and then Canon EX tube?
