Hi All,
I'm racing to finish a few shoots in LR so don't have the time to play around experimenting with stuff for the next few nights at least.
Does anyone know the effect of creating a temporary user preset in the Develop module, and later deleting or overwriting it? I'm using LR 1.1
Say I have a good setting for Presence, Noise Reduction and Sharpening for a batch of shots in a shoot, except I need to review them one by one, so have set up a preset to apply just those settings selectively (I've synced what needs to be synced already) - and I call it Temp 1, which is applied to a number of images as I move along.
Let's say I work on a different set of pics tomorrow night and find another temporary setting that I want to apply to a bunch of images - and overwrite Temp 1 with the new 'temporary' settings I wish to apply.
If I later go back to the first batch of images, which have been edited and clearly show 'Temp 1' in the History:
..can someone tell me if the Temp 1 will be the actual settings applied that happen to have had the Preset name Temp 1 at the time, or does the database reference the existing/current Temp 1?
Similarly if I was to delete Temp 1 next week, would the History of those images still be intact with the actual Preset changes as applied to each image at the time?
Thanks in advance, I'll have a play when I find some time but not soon enough!
