How to really stuff a Lowepro Slingshot 200

No, the 70-200 did not get in the way of closing the bag. What I liked about that setup is that I could fit all my stuff in it AND have easy access to it without taking the bag off. I have since sold that bag and bought the 300 because I bought the 40D which didn't quite fit very well. The 300 is bigger, but I can't seem to arrange it the same way. The sizes of the inserts combined with the different dimensions of the bag made it impossible. So now I am thinking about getting the 100 when I only want to carry a few things.

The 70-200 f/2.8 and 100-400mm are comperable in size, but I don't have a 70-200 f/4 in the mix... instead I have a 24-105L and 85mm f/1.8...But, I've got two bigger bodies plus grips too in the main compartment! My 40D+grip and 5D+grip take up the majority of the room....

Don't get me wrong - still pretty good, but believe me, there's not much room left after I stuff mine.

Best part is, I can still sling one of the bodies with my 24-105L attached out without removing anything else, so the functionality still works as designed!

I have a SS bag also. I find it ok packed with my 30d 3 lenses flash snacks for the kids and half the toys they get tired of carring. I have carried it all day on hikes not up the mountains or anything rugged) hotair ballon fest etc.

Had it at the mall for a Christmas event for the kids..... did you know that top pouch can hold like 500 gumballs?

I'm a little surprised you guys are having so much luck packing the SS200.

I tried to put my 70-200 f4 IS in this bag the regular way (like the demo pictures) at my local store and while it closed fine, it was very tight. My body is even small, it's a XT with a grip.
I might have to play around a bit more with the dividers and leave the camera in a little more angled position.

But I still think I'll get the bag and when Lowepro decides to make a version that's one inch wider and goes over the other shoulder I'll get that one too.

With this bag it seems, there are many pros and very few cons.
