Had fire just over the hill from my house today, got some pics.

The airplane is a Grumman Tracker that has been converted from radial piston engines to turbo-props. Many such conversions are know as Turbo Firecats.

mdrtoys, you did a great job actually getting some shots of the Firecat in action. I also think that No. 4 is a mighty fine shot.

It's great to see some more unusal (or at least less glamourous) aircraft being photographed especially while they are on the job.

Just once when i call for more water would i like to see one of these babies show up. Great shots. I part of the world we never see these.
