This is just one of those items that makes me bang my head into a wall, it is hard to grasp paying 7K for a lens and not getting a hood with it, then finding out you need to plunk down 6 large to protect the glass. Just feels wrong, I guess I am not ready to play with the big boys yet

Both of these lenses are sold with the hood and case. This is in case you break/lose the one you got.
