I want to start shooting more raw, than I currently am. I have a mac, as stated in the subject, I also have aperture, which supports my camera the Xti in raw, i also have photoshop CS. I was at the camera store today, and the owner was talking about using the canon software to reduce noice in the photos, well sadly to say I do not know where the canon software cd that came with my camera is, and I was unsucessful in finding the required software on the canon website. Would someone be so kind as to point me in the correct location, Thanks.

p.s. i know little or nothing about Raw, but do know how to edit jpeg fairly well between aperture and photoshop..

You cannot download DPP from Canon's web site, only the updaters (i.e., you must already have DPP on your computer).

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

If you ask nicely I'm sure someone could put their version they got with their camera somewhere for you to download, you could then update it to the latest version.

Just not sure if it's "ethical", i.e. classed as illegal file sharing

Why not try contacting Canon to see if you can get a copy of your software?

aperture is a raw editor ?

dont think there is a ethical problem with it as you already own a license to use the software

Aperture does have noise reduction capability and it works reasonably well. I never use Canon's software.
