No, not that kind of expecting... something even better.

I just ordered the Mark II !!! :D

B&H has it listed in stock, so I ordered it on my sister's CC card. According to the online banking statement, the charges hit the card about 20 minutes later, so they must really have them on hand.

I'm so excited!! Let's all do the happy dance! :D

Borrow the sister? If she is buying Mark IIs for people, I may want to marry her! What does she look like? :D

Wait ... if I married her, then we'd both be responsible for the bill ... nevermind!

Hi, Lazy, I'm really excited for you. Getting the Mark II would really be a great thing.

However, I can't help asking. Are you sure they have one in stock? I've been keeping my eyes on the B&H site and it's always been showing the Mark II as "Availability: Accepting Orders". If you do place an order, they'll charge your CC right away even though the camera isn't expected to be in stock for a couple of days or weeks.

But if they actually do have one in stock, I'm really happy for you. You probably got to it before they ran out again. Anyway, I can't wait to see all the good bird pictures you're going to take with the Mark II! :)

...Leo

I read on several forums that they were in stock at B&H. Expect your new camera by Wed/Thurs.

Congrats... You'll love it.

I just had my first sports shoot today (Lacrosse Game) with my mkII using the AI focus and SI settings.
Wow.... my shots have never been better! The AI Focus is amazingly fast & accurate! ... and what I like best...not much post processing required.

Thanks all... I can barely contain myself!

PacAce: I'd never seen the B&H website say "in stock" either, until this morning. I almost fell off my chair! I know I was such a dork when I called my sister.. "Omigawd, it's in stock! It's in stock - quick, give me the credit card number". I was frantic... and such a geek. :)

It would be nice if my sister were paying for it, but alas, no. She's just a nice Accountant with the "roomy" plastic.

It's all your fault.

OK, so heres my situation. I'm in Prague for two weeks and I go to an internet cafe to check my mail and this forum (just can't live without ya'll). Anyway, I read this post from YOU!! (Lazy). According to YOU B&H has 1D II's in stock. So....I amble on over to B&H to check it out for myself. What do you know, it says in stock!? I click on the add to your cart button just to see what it would feel like. Next thing I know my finger slips and I bought it. What's the moral of this story? I'm probably going to get divorced, but I'm one happy son of a (fill in your own expletive)! Ya'll take care, I'm sure I'll be nauseatingly annoying to everyone I know once I recieve it. Dave

Ahhh...can I borrow some "room"? Nothing too large, maybe a 2 1/2 (translates into the cost of a MKII)
Congrats!
