Hello community,

my name is Elke and I love street photography. I like photos with a special kind of humour and pictures of the ordinary everyday life.
I good example for that is the website of a German photographer:

http://www.siegfriedbecker.com (external link)

I hope you like that site as much as I do.

All the best (and happy shooting)
Elke

P.S.: please be patient with my (school) English!

Wow, so much to like about them. I particulary like the birds eye view of the large man in the singlet on the bench, and the poster of a man whos eyes have been ripped ;)

when you shoot street do you chase people around
asking them to sign a release
or do you not intend to post or display them?
Very nice site recommendation.
Thanks.

I dont believe you need to. They are on public grounds. But, im not sure. It could be that you are allowed to photograph them when they are in public but not allowed to publish them with out consent. Im not sure.

And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.

I am just a fan of the website, not the photographer (unfortunately).
So, please ask Siegfried Becker.

All the best

I don't know about other countries, but in Australia and US at least, shooting people who are in public places is quite legal - and gives you the right to use the resulting photos in almost any way you please.

Cheers,
Adam

Just asking! I believe, that this kind of photography is nothing for shy people, but also nothing for Rambos.
To be friendly and to be brave is the best way.

Love street photography.

Wish I had the guts to do more street photography.

if I tried that in London in a lot of places I'd get mugged.

I think I might go to some nicer places in London and try it :p :)

Thanks for the website, loved it!
