Irridescent beetle..

These little guys were all over the place the last few days. Not sure on the ID, maybe weevils?.They really are alert to movement around them.

why is the depth of field so narrow on 2-5?

Jooorb, I'm using a reversed lens for macro, I have the aper. set at f/11 but there is still a narrow plane of focus, I was likely zoomed in a little more on those shots as well. I try to get more side on or angled shots to have more of the body in focus, but in these I wanted to show the snout.

Thanks Brian, these little guys are everywhere right now, on the deck, lawn, park your car and bang they are on it.

Looks like a tiny bug, #1 is my fav.
