which flash ?

I am new here.I need a flash for indoor photograhy,I will be taken pictures of cabinets for my buisnes.I was looking at 420ex,550ex,and sigma 500 super.After my post about what lens.I think that I will get the 17-40 canon,then the 100-400,then70-200,2.8 thanks for all your help!


50d ,50 1.8,420ex,,tameron 19-35,tamron28-75,sigma70-200 2.8,bigma,24-70L

550EX

If you cant afford it, or wouldnt mind the lack of canon and a tad lower build quality then get the sigma.

I have my 550EX and it's just...awsome, truely.

Here are some examples:

(yes...all the light here was provided by the flash)

this one not possible on anything less hten the 550 (or sigma)

Hi Scott, This one I can tell you with confedence, go with 550EX. I had a Sumpak 5000 and I send it back. You did not mentioned your camera type but I use a 10D and other band are not fully compatible with EOS system. It is a it more money but 550EX is way much more flash. I love my and I have for only a day. Good luck in your decision.

Easiest question on the forum to answer!

Definately go with the 550EX.

The first time I shot with mine I had trouble with some reflective surfaces fooling my ETL, so I used the 550EX in manual mode. My understanding is that the 420EX lacks full manual control, so I am glad I didn't settle for my second choice.
