I don't know why they'd carry all of those crummy F4 and F4 IS lenses.

Oh, I'm not worried about offending anyone too weak to support an f2.8 lens :p

At least you didn't sell a f/1.8 200mm L.

I did last year. I loved that lens, but I haven't lost any sleep over it because I used the proceeds toward a house downpayment. The fact that I have somewhere to sleep because I sold the lens is probably why I haven't lost any sleep over it

I've actually pined more for the Tokina 12-24mm I sold last year when I thought I was getting out of the 1.6x business, and here I am still with a 20D and I get twitchy every time one goes up for sale on the buy/sell boards.

I am thinking about selling my 17-55 & 70-200/4 L IS but I keep thinking I will regret it. Since I got my 35L, I've not used the 17-55 and since I got the 135L, I've not used the 70-200.

I keep saying, I'm sure I'll need them at some time.....

Sold the first born twenty years ago, for what I thought was a good price. Turns out she's worth a fortune now! ;)

Don't know if I would call it regret.
I traded my 70-200 f2.8 IS for the f4 IS version.
I went through my f2.8 withdrawal symptoms.

But I'm all better now that I have a 135L!

My philosophy is never sell a good lens... Once you sell it you're going to need it...

Maybe that's why I now have 15 Canon lenses...

It's the fear of regretting it that keeps my 17-40 with me, I've put it up for trade/sale a couple of times and I always pull it before it gets any interest. I "replaced" it with the Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 as I needed the speed for wedding work. Now, I can't say for certain if it's actual results or if it's in my head, when the tamron "gets it right" it's just as sharp as the 17-40, but it doesn't seem to give as high of a keeper rate. Maybe I'm just crazy.
