it feels nice very smooth quick focus(I'd hate to say it but probably qicker than the kit lens)

here is what it can do in macro mode at 80mm 5.6
i do have all the others in this test that fill in the gap
i just picked the closest and furthest to show

i'm pretty impressed with the lens
i've only had it since the 10th so I'm still learning to use it and learning what i should see out of it
the zoom and focus are very smooth and nice it's pretty quite too
it came with a hood that's not shown in the pix
it makes the lens look kool too
any ques just let me know

Mmm interesting.
Most of us never see one of these kind of lenses.I didn't read thoroughly but noticed you said the focus is pretty quick.
No surprise to me! :P Canon's consumer USM is just a name ,nothing more really :x
The more normal distance pics remind me of similar cheap kit lenses
-Strong contrast and colour but low resolution (kind of makes the shaddows block up and look rough is a dead givaway even in tiny pics)
Anyway, glad you like it,don't worry about my fussyness! Get some more great pics :D
