This is my first attempt at lightning photography, I probably took 50 or more shots and felt lucky to get one.

Very nice... If this is an easy place to get too, anytime there is a shot at lightning the water looks like a great place to shoot. The grass there adds a nice touch that I enjoy as well...

Very nice ericgtr. I especially love the clouds in the sky. Did you use a long exposure to capture that? :D

Awesome!

I spent 20 mins on my back deck trying to get one like that. I wasn't as lucky as you.

Great job!

When I used to live in Florida, the lightining storms would blow through every few days. I'd sit up all night trying to get some good shots and this was back in the film days.

That's a great shot!!! I love to try and catch those, it's like playing the lottery

Nice score, I feel ur pain on the taking 50 shots just to get 1. My last attempt I took 300 and achieved 0 :( lol And the last 3 monster storms I missed with perfect lightning all together as I forgot the camera at home and/or had no batteries...

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
