Which card for the best speed and reliability for the 10D camera and getting the images off the card from a PCMCIA cardreader.

I cant find specs on how fast the 10D will write to a card.

So here is what I am considering.

Sandisk UltraII

Lexar 80X CF Media with WA (which does not offer support to Canon Cameras)

I'm currently using a Sandisk 256 CF card and to extract 256megs takes 3 minutes on a Sony 1GZ laptop!!!!!! I'm going to keep that card for a backup but would like something much faster.

This newbie is a wee bit confused.

Canon 7D, Canon 30D, Canon 580EX,28-135mm IS USM
50mm F1.8,15mm F2.8,18-55mm Kit lens
17-40L,70-200LF2.8 IS, 2X TC

Something else to consider...the fact that the 10D isn't a real speed demon in the way of writing...about 40x is the highest you can go w/o the pay 90% more for 10% gain in speed. I have a 40X Lexar card on order, shipped 21 May and still isn't here. I have a feeling the mail getting over here from the US is ssssslllloooooowwwww.... I'm trying Lexar and other than Canon 10D not supporting the WA it will act like a 40X CF card. Another point to consider is that I hope ur running USB 2.0! There is a huge difference in speed between USB 1.1 and 2.0!
