Hi DaveCole650 i'm new here. My wife and I were in Yellowstone at the end of June. If you are intrested in Bears make the drive from Canyon Village up to Mt Washburn and down to Rossevelt Tower and around to the Petrified Tree we seen 5 diffrent Black Bears in 2 days including this one probably a little to close for you. Keep your eyes open and look for lots of parked cars a sure sign that someone is looking at something.

Just look at the map and see all you can. The geysers are something to see, there are a few around Old Faithful that are fun to shoot and watch. The first pic is the walk around Old Faithful & the second be sure and find the Harlequin Ducks they are so much fun to watch they stay in rapids and are really pretty

Great shots Harleygirl is the Harlequin duck the small bird that ducks it's head under the rapids for something to snack on??
They are hilarious!

Thanks yes they are I had a blast just shooting I think I took 150 pic's of just them, there were 4 and what fun, float along then all of a sudden just scoot right up the rapids. Got some fantastic photo's of them, they are colorful and funny.
Our friend said that this is only the 2nd year that they've finally started coming back to the park, everyone thought they were gone for good.

They are making quite a comeback from what we were told. There were probably a dozen or so in that area. Here'a a couple more.
