I just spotted this in a catalogue included with a current photo mag and it set me wondering just how many other examples of total BS information (related to photography) are out there?

It's a genuine, long standing UK company with a good reputation, and I'm not actually knocking them at all. But I do think whoever wrote this particular page was more interested in selling the product than the truth!

Yes... this particular bit is about filters (groan). But to make my position clear I'm actually very pro filter, and let's NOT make this just another filter thread. But even with my point of view I'd NEVER claim this.

So... how many other examples of absolute total rubbish can you find out there?

Well for starters on the Jacobs advert, I'd like to see a list of "1000's of accessories". Might be a stretch.
