New Capture One 30D ICC Profile

I have been working on improving the Generic ICC profile supplied with Capture One to give a more vivid and accurate feel.

Below are some initial results from the beta profile

Anybody that would like to test the profile and provide feedback is welcome to contact me via e-mail: olycoly AT gmail.com.

Welcome to potn!

Appreciate your effort. As a 30D owner, perhaps someday you'll consider offering the profile for download.

However, if I may be open, I see both plusses and minuses.

On one hand, your beta is doing a good job of showing more shadow detail under the roof eaves.

However, in another spot I see what might be a substantial degradation: in between the sony and pentax signs, there are white spots - paint spots, chipped paint, whatever. In the generic profile, the spots are much better defined in relation to the yellow around it. In the beta profile, some of the spots almost blend into the yellow. Don't know if you noticed that or not. Hope it's helpful. (I am viewing on a calibrated, 8-bit panel. ) /Dan

Thanks Dan, the profile will be free to the Canon community this is no commercial venture!

Could I ask you try the profile with your own images, as anything with profiles the effect is subjective.
