Ok! I am buying a new printer. I upgraded to VISTA. No problems, except for a few minor cliches here and there with network cards and iTunes which were resolved rather quickly.

However there is no specific VISTA printer driver for my Photosmart 7550. HP says to use "this" driver for an Officejet 5550 which is not specific to the 7550. HP says its compatible. Yeah right. It prints and that is about it. Using the defaults with VISTA the pictures look like crap.

Since the VISTA upgrade, the color on my photos has done completely to crap. I am running a Spyder2Pro calibrated monitor. I tried to calibrate the printer with PrintFix Pro2, i did it twice and I ain't gonna do it again as you have to scan 729 color patches, Now everything is turning out with this yellowish orangish yucky patina. Before VISTA the 7550 was dead on using defaults.

Budget $1500.00 I need the best bang for the buck. All opinons and thoughts appreciated. The only requirement it has to have a specific driver for VISTA.

The Canon PIXMA Pro9500 (external link) is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vista. It's only about US$800 or so.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
