Spotted this fella mosying around the inside of my window.

Since my lens cupboard is in the same room, I slapped on the 100mm Macro and the 2xTC and full set of tubes, just to see what happened...

Ah. So I do have Robber Flies...

That explains why (after gentle prodding to ask him to pose nicely), he flew right at me, prompting me to wave my arms around, screaming like a nancy-boy...!

hahaha, I've never seen a Robberfly attack a human, usually they just fly off. Good shot Pete, especially since you used the 2x TC as well, which I would have expected to degrade the image IQ somewhat.

Yeah, it did flatten the tonality by quite a large margin, but not (thankfully), the sharpness. It took a fair bit of photoshopping to get it looking reasonable again.

I might think about getting another set of tubes and stacking even more of them and seeing how that pans out.
