i was out shooting birds in flight and came across this i think its a Damson but ok to put me right

Your use of that nice long lens is undoubtedly minimising this risk but it must still be very difficult. Another great shot!

If so, it's cool to see that they don't differ between the U.K. and the U.S. Here's one I shot in northern California (175mm, f/2.8, 1/100 sec). I was flyfishing and hadn't packed the tripod, so forgive the less than optimal focus. But note how the little fella is wrapping his back legs around the branch. I thought that was pretty cool.
