15 teams were fighting it out for $1500 in cash today, took around 1000 shots, here is just a few. This was also my first time using the Sigma 70-200 2.8, and it was great. A little hard getting used to having 100mm less on the long end, but much faster focusing :) I do need to figure out how to get tighter on the players again now, but I think I got some ok stuff. All the photos are straight out of the camera besides the resize.

Also, I just got my first cover, for Paintball 2Xtremes. The photo was taken at the Oklahoma D-Day scenario game, a 4000+ player event. Its not my favorite from the photoshoot I did down there, but I am pretty happy with it! The photo was not taken during the game, we did a shoot the day before the battle, in case anyone was wondering.

Great Shots and congrats on the cover!! I just got into paintball about three months ago and LOVE it! I want to get into the photography aspect of it, but afraid that my camera will get hit.

What marker do you have?

I don't play much anymore, but I still have my 2003 Dye Matrix. Never felt the need to upgrade since it shoots just as fast as the newer ones, its just a little heavier.

Considering the fact that your camera is heavy, the marker should be cake! :D

People were wondering why I bought an Impulse Vision as my first gun. They were saying that it's a pretty heavy marker. I didn't haveany problems with it. I bought it for $150 and came with LPR, Freak Barrel, Cricket Board, Drop Forward and a bunch of other stuff.

I recently purchased a stock E-Tek for $300. :D

So, why's the splatter in #1 near the bottom of the image but he has a hit on his hopper (whatever the thing that holds the balls is called!)? Anyway, big congrats on the cover shot ... the guy's marker looks thermonuclear.

For starters, in a local event up here there is not a ton of movement. I did shoot the fronts though, I guess I didn't notice that the ones I posted were all in back :) I took 1000+, let me find a few more good ones.

He had just been hit in the hopper, and a second ball broke on the bunker. The second one is what you see splattering. I didn't catch the one that hit his hopper.

Looking through the pics, I realize that people really weren't moving up that far most of the time. That's MN for you :(

Thanks ... I remember Gary's shot with the balls falling from the hopper and I couldn't figure out how anyone had shot that many at him at once ... and it was just himself! :-) Now I've seen it fifty times. Anyway, knowing it was two balls it now makes perfect sense.
