Homemade flash refractor suggestions

Can anyone give me some suggestions as to how to make a home made refractor for the built in flash on a Canon 400D?

Canon 60mm macro, 70-300mm, 10-22mm, 50mm 1.8, 18-55 kit lens

a glass of water should do the trick.

why do you want to refract the light from your flash? most people make homeade reflectors...to each their own though. Heh.
