My first real attempt on live animals

Lol, nice shots. I believe that strange creature is actually a hummingbird moth.

Agree with Sam - last bug is a hummingbird moth - wonderfully acrobatic fliers that do look like and are often mistaken for small hummingbirds.

Nice set. You don't say where you're from, but the moth is not a European species. We only have one species of day-flying hawk moth, the hummingbird, which has brown opaque wings whereas this one has clear wings. I believe there are several species in North America where I think they're called sphinx moths.

For ‘eccles’, this is one more habitant of the Bronx, NY, USA.

I cant read the EXIF so dont even know if you used flash. A couple look a bit harshly lit but good start and I am envious you found a Humming-bird moth to shoot.

'racketman' I used the popup flash on nb. 3 just to try. All others are without flash( I forgot the flash in the car). As for the Humming bird! I didn't know what it was, just a BIG bug poping up from nowhere.

The bee picture is my favorite out of the set.
