this is my first post :]
i took a road trip through the west and brought the camera. these were taken in utah and colorado with a canon A80. it's summer so i don't have my photo professor around to give me input. i'm always looking for more ways to get peer input and this looks like a good place.

5 images.

nice shots,
in the third picture, the two birds look relatively sharp, means that your shutter speed was quite fast.
as said in the first reply, coud you please mention your settings for the B&W conversion
regards
Khalid

Very nice series, the first one is stunning. As for critique, the last too are a little dark for my tastes, but well composed.

all the images except the night shot were taken at f/8 and ISO 50. shutter speeds ranged from 1/800-2000. the night shot was a 10 second exposure on f/2.8 most likely but still ISO 50 because i wanted minimal grain.

as far as B&W conversion: i took the images in black and white mode from the start. when opening the pictures i instantly convert them to grayscale mode then work the curves. that's all, no double exposures or anything.

thanks for the comments.

The clouds and contrast in your 4th picture are stunning. Well done.
