Looks fine Duncan, how is the new toy, finding the focus fast?

This will be my next upgrade, just probably wont be a new one:rolleyes:

:-) faster than an XU-1 drains a fueltank.
and mine wasn't - must be my scottish ancestry....

I'm guessing either instruments, or his forehead.

umm I've done this image before, but this is a similar scene, but done with a different series of shots, which I've only had a go at processing tonight.

I like these. Must look great printed size large...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Pity, you should use up all the gas now, while it is affordable. It's only going to get worse.

Confident of winning that auction are we? LOL

Main thing is to remember light surfaces are your friend, bounce bounce and if in doubt bounce again :) Oh and coz its a party, every shot needs to be from knee height looking up at 10mm :)

Spend some time just loitering and snapping a few candids, they really complete the set, I'd say at each gather I have shot my best shot was a candid.

Only other suggestion is don't forget its actually a party ... have fun :)

Yeah, I think you should go to bed :)

As far as the image goes apart from what dave said I think the highlights are a touch blown out. The ring and the dominant shoulder. Otherwise nice.

Hi there,

I'm new here.

Work at a camera shop in wellingtron and during the weekends I pretend to be a photographer... I do some work for my old school (mainly sports) as well as the odd wedding and whatever else takes my fancy.

This was taken at the wellington Cancer society Relay for Life which I was covering for my old school... bloody freezing day... by the end of it I was completely sodden and my feet had changed shape.

Is kung fu fighting.
