I have yet to see a bad portrait of you Tony, belive it or not, you photograph well. Lots of character.

I got home and found the power was out, didn't come back on until nearly 11pm that night, and had a longer than usual day at work, so I have photos, but they are still on the camera.

So long and thanks for all the flash

perks of growing up on an island - if you don't keep turning, sooner or later you'd end up in the tide...

Join the club brother, I got a few flex of the stuff when i was in my late 20's ... shows what living with too many females will do to ya. I just never really worried about it though.

Heh, its funny when you finally see someone, they are never what you pictured :)

Also congrats to the NZ cricket team. Has a team ever before in history managed to lose a test match from such a strong position?

Just putting it out there as a matter of curiosity and benchmarking myself after about 6 months of owning a dslr.

Is my work I post here usually shyte? I post photographs from time to time and often never get any response at all, others post and get tonnes of feedback. Am I simply not in the 'cool kids club' or is my work shyte so no-one wants to comment or simply does no-one have an opinion? Just curious.

If it was shyte I'd appreciate the feedback anyway so I know what/where to improve.

I realize a lot of my work is heavily processed, but thats simply my style, I guess I class myself as a digital artist more than a photographer, I have a heavy digital design background and it flows through, shouldn't stop people from commenting though I'd hope.

Just something that I have pondered for a little while now and those that know me will know I like to put stuff out there rather than let it stew etc :)

Ta.

Do you want honest responces.

If I want something critiqued I ask.

"The lake down the road ..." was your last post with photo. It reads heres a photo.
I read it as that. Did you want it critiqued?

What how come I didnt get an invite to the "cool kids club" :(

isn't the idea of posting photos in here is to ask for critiqe, with out asking.

the thread was created to improve photography, the only way to do that is to get feed back, either good or bad.

I thought thats what this thread was about. Doesn't have to be bad feedback :) If you see a way I could improve whatever i post then cool, if you simply like it then state what you like about it, isn't that how we learn and grow in whatever we are doing?

Tony, you are the centre of the club, (i even suspect you have a big grand pubah hat somewhere) you receive feedback on just about everything you post whether you ask for it or not.

I am not pissed off or anything about it, was more curious what the reasoning behind it all was.

Right off to do todays orders and then I have to visit some old lady around the corner that knows my mother, how has volunteered me go and set up he new tv and dvd player etc.... thanks mum! Haha, I should tell her only i'f she'll let me take her portrait :)
