Also congrats to the NZ cricket team. Has a team ever before in history managed to lose a test match from such a strong position?

yes england has managed that feat on a number of occasion. in fact i remember one game that they forced the follow on and lost by 150 runs / 2 wickets after the aussies batted a lot better in the second go...

but it was shocking.....

Tony, you are the centre of the club, (i even suspect you have a big grand pubah hat somewhere) you receive feedback on just about everything you post whether you ask for it or not.

Im a small fish in a big pond ......... just a very vocal fish

I like your work its different, yes your PP is always on the heavy side. I find your people photography out there. Im a purist with landscapes and dont like heavy PP.

I think the best thing you could do for the "lake" photo is to capture it when the water is like silk. Go for the reflections. A tight crop on the yellow trees. Sometimes less is more.

EDIT Sancho you look at the stats for some of the posts of viewers compared to posters.

Thanks brother.

Tight crop ... errr ... ummm ... Are you suggesting I don't use my 10 - 20mm for every shot I do? :) But I LOVE it :)

Good idea on the stillness though, but I am not sure if that lake is ever still, its pretty open... was just cruising past to be honest, jumped out, took two shots and likes this one of the 2 better.

Thats why I want a 500mm tight in close. Some time there is to much in a scene and no focus point (yes Mark I do listen to you). Im busy focusing on forground and point of focus with my work (yes Scott I dont center everything now so listen to you too). The human eyes sees the big picture but the camera dosnt selective focus like our eyes do.

Photography for me is not about rendering a picture so much that it looks like something from king kong, the terminator or perhaps Lord of the Rings. I think that needs to be left with CGI film makers.

I have watched the history of photography. And its about documenting. Photographing something so you can see it later on. I like to photograph and see a photo as to how I saw it at the time.

Not what my computer wants to see it as.

Sorry. But the reason why I dont comment is because they dont seem like photos to me. They seem like a photo wrapped in plastic wrap and digitalized. I mean a DSLR is a powerful tool and you dont want to render it. Well I dont... hope this does not sound too harsh.

Matt I agree and disagree. How many teachers cryed when the lost there chalk and blackboards and went to white boards and markers :)
(sorry vivid colours compared to flat)

PP is as much a style as the photography as well. Look at HDR some things suit it others dont (imho).

I will always remeber the photo Sancho posted of the "Nude" male. It was the PP that made it. The same with the girl in cuffs  ....... moving on.
Thinking about it all the photos I remeber from Sancho are heaveyly process but its his style. However they are still a photo. Why do I remeber, why can I still see them in my mind ............... IMPACT.

From your flicker A/C I rember only 1 photo

Well I like it. If the reflections had been a bit more outlined it would have been nice but that's not something you can control.
