Shooting in RAW

I shoot with RAW + Small jpeg (for display purposes only when browsing) but when i opened the RAW file today the actual pic was quite small.

My question is, by selecting the small jpeg and whether it is fine or not does it effect the RAW file at all or just the jpeg?

The RAW file will still be full size.

I'm just curious but if you are getting a small jpg just for browsing the files, you do know that there is a built in jpg thumbnail in the RAW file that you can browse. Depending on what you are using to browse your RAW files you could get away without it.

I have switched to RAW only for just this reason. No need to use the space on my CF card when a copy is included in the RAW file.

I just use the standard folder view because the .cr2 file just gives me a big Adobe icon!

I find Bridge uses to much processing power.
