I have that exact same body and lens. Tomorrow will mark one year and and 12,250+ shots. You should be excited, it's a super duper, fantastic camera and lens. Here is my 12250 shot last night with obviously a little PhotoShop touches.

You have to see this one at full size.

I've got a lot of other samples on my web site. The only other lens I have is the Canon 50mm f1.8. That lens is awesome for the price. If you want to see what a faster apature is like, I highly recomend it. It's like fifty bucks or something ('nifty fifty'). I like to use it in really low light condition with the flash. The other thing you'll want to get is that 550EX flash...it'w way cool too.

Thanks for the input Todd, you have some great pics on your site. Im ordering the 550 and a tripod Wednesday, still up in the air on what tripod to get though so that's kinda delaying my decision.
