I jumped on the roof this evening and setup my AB800 (camera left) and set the camera on tripod & timer and these are the better ones that I took, or more 'interesting' rather.

It was a new experience shooting outdoors with my lighting setup that produced nice, rich colors.

Oh yeah and a lesson learned (which I already new but didnt apply), a wind gust caught the umbrella and knocked over my AB, but all is fine, a couple of bent rods in the umbrella, no harm to the unit itself.

Note to self: Put some weight on the tripod holding the light unit

The first two are the original photo with slight post process ( contrast, sharpening, saturation, vignetting)

and the second two are a look that I often find myself producing.

Sure it may be excessive, but it has gotten alot of interest from people (younger obviously) and I have some jobs coming up where this look or something to the effect of it, will be used.

THIS WAS JUST A TRY OUT, they may not be "technically perfect", but then again perfect is boring:D A lil hot spot never hurt noone;)

I like the squatting one in the first set, like the angle, patterns, shapes and colors better than the standing.

I like the standing one best in the second set, kind of a cool PP, makes me think of those movie posters about(sorry:) ) aliens. Squatting one looks to muddy.

All in all...I like them.

I noticed the hot spot too but there is a hot spot on your other arm as well, so I thought it kinda balanced them. The dark half circles on your calves are also balanced. Since the PP version is so unrealistic anyway, I think it all comes together fine.

Cool idea! :) Not sure if there was an opportunity for an angle that didn't include the two chimney's? Anyway, looks like you had fun and that's what is most important when you are doing some unique shots.
