can i create a vector graphic in PS CS2 ?

I need a vector graphic to give to a printer to print vinyl graphics, the logo is simple text and just type face so is it something i can do in CS2? i have done the usual google search and potn search and cant find much other than telling me to get illustrator.

any help would be great

You could do it in Photoshop CS2, but it won't be easy. Illustrator is a much better tool for vector work.

You should checkout Inkscape, it is very good. Not quite as good as Illustrator, but it is still very advanced and is freeware/open source. I'v only used it for something very basic so far, but judging by the example works it looks like you can do pretty much anything.

yes you can and it is very easy to do :D
My friend does VERY good vector graphics in CS2

Edit: if it is just text, just make your image and safe it as a PDF with the font included, that way the printer will get your exact font.
I personally haven't done it this way, a friend of mine that does graphics arts mentioned this to me a few days ago.
