It was hot and I recently got a Sigma 20mm f1.8, so I drove down after dinner for a few quick shots.

Nah, I used ISO 400-1000 and hand held with leaning against things and using good stance.
Most were about 1/6 to 1/20 sec shutter speed.

These are truly some of the most professional looking shots I've seen on this site. The composition and use of light to create depth are unmatched. I can't imagine how you stayed still at 1/6. IS lense?

Love Broadway. B&W

Knowing LA very well and the Disney.. You got some really wonderful and unique shots there. The second is one shot that you might get a few $$ on as I have never seen anyone take that view. I love the the juxtaposition of old and new. You Done Good there T

Hey thanks. No, I'm too cheap to get IS lenses.
I just practice good technique. With a wide lens, I can generally get away with that shutter speed.

It's not much different than shooting guns. You stand shoulder width apart, left foot a touch forward. Lean into the shot a touch support the lens/body with the left arm tucked into the chest, press the eyebrow against the camera, breath in and as you exhale, squeeze the shutter.

Just takes practice I guess.

Ok, an oldie but a goody. Taken with a sigma 28mm f1.8. I like the bokeh this lens produces.
