Definitely a tripod. I can't keep still for well lit shots much less night shots :-)

Thanks! The first two had the Lightroom preset Creative Aged. The rest have increased saturation.

Great series. I like how most of the people in the shots seem to be motionless yet you can tell thre is a long shutter. :) I like the color tones as well.

I like the last 2 the best. I have had so many opportunities to do carnival shots, but I just don't have the courage to bring a tripod to a carnival. Guess I am just self conscious. Great job!

Nice group of photos. The colors and background sky are terrific. And exposures are right on. #2 and #5 are my favorites. Love the colors in #5.

Thank you for all of the comments. With the clouds and such, I was going for a dated carnival theme.

I went by myself and I have to admit, it felt weird carrying around a tripod, especially since I timed getting there wrong and had to wait until after the sun set to start taking pictures. Then walking around in the dark was a bit scarey. Luckily, it started to rain and alot of people were clearing out, so I wasn't too worried about someone walking up behind me.

The last one for me at least, is key, the depth of the bowl is really different. Ferris wheels have been done so much, it's sorta boring but that last one is money.
