This is a model of downtown Detroit that is in the lobby of the Renaissance Center, the tallest building in the state of Michigan and GM's world headquarters. I am an intern for Compuware Corporation on Campus Martius Park just a few blocks away. The model is kept under glass so please excuse the reflections and glare. I'm not exactly happy with these shots since I had the camera in portrait mode on accident and they didn't turn out as well as I could have done in manual model.

Here is the skyline as you would see it from across the river in Windsor, Ontario. The complex of 5 towers (you can see 3 of them) is the Renaissance Center. There are two smaller towers to the right and you can see one of them here.

Here is a closeup of the RenCen model. The central tower is a Marriot hotel with a revolving resteraunt on the top floor. The four small towers are GM's offices.

You can see the entire model here. Comerica Park and Ford field are next to each other at the back.

In this shot, you can see the corner of Woodward and Jefferson avenues. Woodward runs vertical to the northwest, Jefferson runs horizontal along the river.

Love the shots, though a CPL filter would have gotten rid of most of the reflections if used at certain angles.

I'm glad you like them. The model was built at least 5 years ago since the 4-year old building I work in isn't on it. If it was on the model, you may have been able to see it in the last picture at the far end of Campus Martius park in the middle of the picture.

I replied to your PM.
