I have custom Brightscreen focus screens in my 1DMk2Ns... can anyone tell me if these can be moved to the M3, or do I have to get new ones?

All 1 series screens are interchangeable.

LOL... we actually use custom made screens for the work we do... I am just glad that I won't have to buy them again as they were $240 a piece... ugh.

It's true that all 1 series screen are physically interchangeable, it doesn't necessarily mean that a focusing screen will work with all 1D cameras. For example, when the 1DmkIIN came out, the Ec-S screen was also released. This screen was make specifically for the 1DmkIIN and does not work well with the previous models because correct exposure can not be guaranteed with it on those models.

But, fortunately, they all do seem to be upward compatible with newer models. :)

I will... plus I'm sure that whoever ends up with my IINs is not going to want those screens...

I'll be parting with two of them at some point... but probably not until a few months out. I won't be doing sports hot and heavy again until at least September.
