I asked this earlier and my thread got spun out of control with MKIII AF banter. No need for that here.

Assuming you had the cash.....I have just one simple yes or no question:

Knowing what you know, would you buy an MKIII right now?

In a heart beat. My question personally is whether or not to get a second for shooting sports.

I voted yes since I already have one. :) It's worth every penny that I paid for it.

I voted yes, as I am still waiting to reach the top of the waiting list I joined way back in march. Last I heard was "mid-august ..... maybe".

Amazing camera with a price tag hardly justifing extra money paid over let's say 5D...i am not planning to sell mine ..i like it to much and i am afraid that this is one way street ...once you jumped on the 1 series body ...i don't think you will want to use anything else.I have to admit though, can't wait for the 5D update ..if this baby comes with mark III's high iso performance (not that it's bad right now) i will sell my mark III and get 5D II right away
