Attached are a couple of shots taken lunchtime today at Eglwys Nunydd reservoir Port Talbot.

Both are perched on a Cow Parsley flower (Anthriscus sylvestris); I think the mating beetles are Rhagonycha fulva and the other shot is of is a Hover-fly Syrphus ribesii

Don't yer just have to love hoverflies :-) Nice set Ray. I like the Syrphus ribesii best, nice male specimen.

yeah i went to a local park yesterday and noticed a lot of the humping going on between the bugs. Every flower had about 2-3 couples going at it, i think its mating season :)

Couldn't get any decent shots it was pretty windy :(
