Building a remote switch for a 10d

Has anybody made their own remote swith for the 10d? It looks like they can be built fairly easily, but I know the plug is different for the 10d, not the readily available mini-jack. If anybody has, is there a schematic that shows how it should be wired? Where is a source for the plug? Thanks for the help.

Did a bit of searching with Google and found this: Canon N3 remote release connector information (external link) - with a description of how this guy made his own remote control.
