1. Is this some type of robber fly?

3. I would love this shot... if I had gotten the **** eye in focus. The colors are really neat, but I missed the focus pretty badly. Still, I thought I'd post it:

Wonderful series Chris,
great detail on the ant- how big was that guy ?

Think the fly photo is excellent even if it doesn't have clear detail of the eye- we do tend to get hung up on eye detail don't we :)

Great series of shots, love the eyes on that fly but the Ant shots are superb, that Texture looks like Finger Prints
